Dettori to ride Beauty Flash in Hong Kong Derby

It was previously announced that approval had been granted for Jockey Christophe Soumillon to ride BEAUTY FLASH at the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby (HK Group 1) scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, 14 March 2010 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. Advice has been received from Stewards of the Emirates Racing Authority that Jockey Soumillon incurred a riding suspension at the Meydan Race Meeting on Friday, 5 March which, at this time, will preclude him from fulfilling his riding engagement on BEAUTY FLASH.
Following a request from Trainer A S Cruz, permission has today been granted for Jockey Frankie Dettori to be substituted as the rider of BEAUTY FLASH in the Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby.
As a Visiting Jockey, Jockey Dettori will be permitted to accept race riding engagements in all races run at the aforementioned race meeting. |
