Soumillon requests to defer commencement of his Club Jockey's contract
Management has received a request from Jockey Christophe Soumillon for approval to delay the commencement of his Club Jockey's contract until 24 January 2010.
Jockey Soumillon advised that he was required to undergo surgery to have a pin removed from the arm which he injured in a well-publicized race fall in September 2009.Jockey Soumillon has received medical advice that he requires post operation recovery and that he will again be medically assessed on or about 16 January 2010 when it is anticipated that he will be cleared to resume riding.
Jockey Soumillon's request has been placed before the Licensing Committee for its consideration. A further release will be issued at the appropriate time.
Beadman permitted to ride in Magic Millions Racemeeting
Permission has been granted for Stable Retained Jockey Darren Beadman to be absent from Hong Kong so as to ride LOVE CONQUERS ALL in the Magic Millions 3yo Trophy and O'LOHNRO in the Magic Millions Cup at the Magic Millions Racemeeting to be conducted at Gold Coast Racecourse, Queensland, Australia on Saturday, 9 January 2010.
Jockey Beadman has advised that he intends to depart Hong Kong on Thursday, 7 January 2010 and to return to Hong Kong on Sunday, 10 January 2010 in order to fulfil race riding engagements for the Sha Tin racemeeting scheduled to be conducted later that day. As such he will not miss a Hong Kong racemeeting. |
