Result of Appeal Hearing - Apprentice K T Yeung

The Appeal lodged by Apprentice K T Yeung against the decision of the Racing Stewards made on 11 November 2007 to fine him $10,000 for improper use of the whip [Stewards Instruction 22(3)] was heard by the Stewards of the Jockey Club at 10:15 a.m. on 27 November 2007.
The Panel dismissed the Appeal but decided to reduce his fine to $4,000. The Stewards further decided that his deposit be refunded.

見習騎師楊啟棠上訴聆訊結果

賽事秘書鄭育強承馬會董事局命發出通告如下：
香港賽馬會董事局已於二○○七年十一月二十七日上午十時十五分就見習騎師楊啟棠所提出的上訴進行聆訊。楊啟棠因用鞭不當（董事局指示第 22(3)條）於十一月十一日被競賽董事小組判處罰款一萬元。楊啟棠其後就該項判決提出上訴。
小組將上訴駁回，但決定把楊啟棠的罰款減至四千元。小組並著令把其上訴保證金發還。
