Daniel Nikolic released from Club Jockey's agreement
The Licensing Committee has, by circulation of paper, agreed to a request from Club Jockey Daniel Nikolic that he be released from his agreement to ride with the Club with immediate effect.
Happy Valley Million Challenge (2007/08) kicks off
| Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Mr William A. Nader, Executive Director, Racing officiated at a ceremony to launch the season's Happy Valley Million Challenge (HVMC) in the Parade Ring at Happy Valley Racecourse tonight (12 September).
The Happy Valley Million Challenge, which has proved to be well received among horse Owners in the past seasons, comprises Happy Valley races of Class 3 or above from September 2007 to February 2008.

A total bonus of HK$1,000,000 will be awarded to the Owners of the three horses with the highest accumulated points over that period with $650,000 for the winner, $250,000 for the 1st runner-up and $100,000 for the 2nd runner-up. There were three HVMC races on tonight's race card, Races 6, 7, 8. |

列高力要求解約獲准
受薪董事兼牌照委員會秘書祁禮謙發出通告如下：
牌照委員會以文件傳閱方式進行審批，接納列高力提出的請求，准予即時解除其馬會騎師聘約。
跑馬地百萬挑戰盃（ 2007/08 ）今晚揭幕

本季首次夜賽於今晚（九月十二日）舉行，本年度
跑馬地百萬挑戰盃比賽亦隨之揭開戰幔，香港賽馬會行政總裁應家柏與賽馬事務執行總監利達賢在跑馬地馬場馬匹亮相圈主持 揭幕儀式。
此項比賽自數年前創辦以來，一直深受馬主們歡迎
。今季的百萬挑戰盃系列由二○○七年九月至二○○八年二月期間在跑馬地舉行的所有第三班及以上賽事組成。合共一百萬元特別獎金將給予累計分數最高的三匹馬之馬主：冠軍六十五萬元；亞軍二十五萬元；季軍十萬元。
