RACING at HAPPY VALLEY - WEDNESDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER

Analysis of Horses Racing Fresh ~ PLUS ~
TRAINERS' PERFORMANCE

Second start of the season for the City Track and I am continuing with the "FRESH" factor theme for my blogs. For details on this topic, please refer to our Racing Chart (CLICK LINK) in PDF format, which highlights the "fresh" records for tomorrow's racing at Happy Valley.

I am also attaching a chart that shows some statistics which highlight trainers' performances for horses which are moving up or down in Class. See our Racing Chart #2 [Click link]. One horse in particular that is changing in Class (moving up) and looks to have an outside chance at a price, is STAR OF FAME in R#8 H#11. He won his last start of last season in C4 over tonight's trip - 1200m; and is capable of performing well fresh and looks set for a strong finish.

Wednesday night's card also includes 2 mounts which are having their first race in Hong Kong. When looking at historical statistics, there are few horses which have proven capable of being competitive 1st-up at the Valley. That this is a C3 event will make it that much harder for the newbies to be victorious.

A strong form factor is recency and there are several in tonight's field which raced well 10 or 7 days ago. These include :

R#1 H#04 REAL DRAGON
R#2 H#12 TREASURE GLITTER
R#3 H#03 FAMILISTS*
R#3 H#05 FLYING SUPREME*
R#5 H#02 NORDIC STAR*
R#6 H#10 BEAUTIFUL DREAMER
R#8 H#12 TEAM WORK

* Strong Stable for this factor

Don't forget to check out the Sample (link) of the Dividends & Results file.

Future Blogs (link) will continue to present reports which help to analyze this variable - stay tuned!

Good Luck for Wednesday's racing.

Bio on Earl Klein

Co-founder and Racing Editor of the Hong Kong Racing Journal since it's inception in 1995. During this period I have provided consulting services regarding Hong Kong racing to both end-users and corporate clients, such as Race Tracks, Off-track Betting Services, Bookmakers & TABs, On-line information services, etc.

For almost 10 years the HKRJ provided a Custom Service to the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) which focused on a pre-race analysis report for the Chief Steward (Stipe), during the tenures of John Schreck and Jamie Stier.

A number-cruncher for my 'day job' and an enthusiastic part-time programmer with a love of horseracing, the analysis of Hong Kong Racing has been a natural fit to both my skills and hobby.

I enjoy making Hong Kong Racing a more level playing field so if you've got an opinion or a suggestion, please don't hesitate to drop me a line.
